2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 Air Conditioning System Leak Repair & Recharge

As it gets warmer, make sure that your vehicle's air conditioning system is fully charged and in proper working order. Our client brought in this 2010 Mercedes Benz C300 and stated that the A/C is system is not working properly. The o-rings at the high and low side hoses near the service valves shown signs of leakage and replaced them. While evacuating the system to fix the leak, we discovered that the system was overcharged by .85 lbs. as we recovered 2.15 lbs while the maximum limit 1.30 lbs.

During this visit, we also replaced both the front and rear brake pads and the oil separator located on the cylinder head. This is a common area for oil leaks on the M272 and M273 engines. This oil separator allows the crankcase to safely vent air and stop oil from escaping during the process. If your car is experiencing a loss of pressure or a decrease in performance with a rough idle, this valve/oil separator might to be blame.
